Tony D'Andrea
I am a registered architect in the UK and Australia, with project experience in Europe, the United States and Australia. I focus on residential design, high end retail store design, project management/contract administration, yacht interior design, furniture design and construction.
My design philosophy focus is one of re-use and re-assessment of the existing ‘built’ condition. Design projects taken on often retain an object’s original form (an internal space or structure, an idea, a material) which is adapted it to suit a new use, or an original use that has been modified over time to suit the time we live in and the spaces we occupy.
My management approach pursues quality and execution of detail. Both 'High End' retail and 'Quality' residential works require one to anticipate obstacles and develop a productive working relationship between clients and builders, thus ensuring timely project delivery.
My education spans 15 years with a Bachelor in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning (1993), Professional registration in Queensland Australia (Queensland Board of Architects, 1997) and Professional registration in the United Kingdom (Part III Architectural Certificate, University of Portsmouth, UK (2002)
